Help Make a Difference in the CHD Community

As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to support our core initiatives. Our goals in raising money are to:

Friendship and community: We seek to host community events to build support networks for all CHD families, whether they are in need of support or in a position to provide support. Donations make these events accessible to anyone who would like to attend by funding the space, activities for the kids, and refreshments. Additionally, we provide financial assistance to cardiac-related camps for low income families. At these camps, kids and adolescents with CHD can build lifelong friendships and communities around the unique issues they face.

Support for hospital stays: We seek to deliver Bravery Bags for every inpatient cardiac patient at our area’s two leading pediatric cardiac centers (Childrens National Medical Center and Inova Fairfax). We also seek to maintain a supply of toys and other entertainment items at these two hospitals.

Educational Events: While we seek to minimize the costs for space and speakers, we occasionally do need donations to cover basic operating expenses or space-related costs for educational events, so all members of the community can stay up to date on the rapidly changing medical landscape related to CHD.

We have seen these initiatives make a difference in the lives of kids and teens with CHD and their families. We appreciate any amount you can give.
